I. KSF Demo Version License Agreement

You may not disassemble or reverse compile this application for the
purpose of reverse engineering the software.

You may not sell, rent or lease this application.

You may freely distribute this application as long as all files are
distributed with the original setup.

KSF is not liable for any damage that this application might cause to
your hardware, software or data.

To use this application you require a valid license and a functioning 
installation of Microsoft's DAO (Data Access Objects). This is the case
if you have completely installed Microsoft Office Professional for Windows 95, 
Microsoft Access for Windows 95, Visual Basic Professional 4.0, or Visual C++ 
4.0.

The components are available at KSF's web site in trial and release 
editions http://www.ksf.kiev.ua/ksfpackage.

II.  What is CD-CAT application?

CD_CAT is an application for keeping information about CD library,
fast searching required files and comparing contain of a CD with CDs in
library. Graphic and Windows Explorer like interface makes this
processes very easy.The freeware version is intended to demonstrate
functionality of KSF's components TDBTreeView, TDBListView, and TDBImageList. 

Commercial version of this application is also available at KSF  

III. Troubleshooting.
After you have installed and started CD_CAT you may get message 
"Cannot load an IDAPI service library." It means that DAO 3.0 is
not properly installed on your system or not installed at all.
If you have not installed DAO 3.0 on your computer, you may download 
it from ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/SoftLib/MSLFiles/DAOREDIS.EXE.
If DAO 3.0 is installed on your computer and you are still getting the
message, then, probably, you registry database misses a record
Borland BDE is looking for. Fixreg.exe from the installation set of
CD_CAT can fix this problem. Just start the Fixreg.exe and if it finds
DAO on your computer, it will create a proper record in the registry
database.

IV. What is in commercial version?

Commercial version of the CD-CAT application allows:
1. Add to the database list of files, stored in archives on a CD.
2. Open several Find and Match windows.
3. Find dialog allows to specify patterns to search in the description field.
4. Locate a file, found by the Find utility, in the main window by
   double-clicking on the file.
5. Change the icon, associated with an existing entry.
6. Store user preferences  and last position on the screen.
7. Multiuser support.
8. Compact database utility.
